Car Rental Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions regulate the procedure for booking cars through the Time for Trip service, the interaction with customers, payment terms, cancellation rules, notifications, and personal data processing.

Time for Trip provides users with the ability to search for and book cars for their trips. Rental terms may vary depending on the destination, selected vehicle, partner rental company, tariff, and additional services.

1. Driver Requirements

The minimum driver age is 23 years.

The minimum driving experience is 3 years.

In some cases, age and driving experience requirements may vary depending on the selected vehicle, destination, rental partner’s terms, or additional services. The possibility of renting a car with a lower age or driving experience may be considered individually.

2. Vehicle Use Area

The permitted vehicle use area is determined by the selected destination, rental partner’s terms, and the specific vehicle.

Travelling outside the agreed vehicle use area is allowed only with prior approval from Time for Trip or the rental partner.

If the customer plans to travel to another region, another country, mountain areas, ferry crossings, or routes with special driving conditions, this must be reported in advance when booking.

3. Vehicles, Photos and Availability

Vehicle photos published on the website are provided for informational purposes only. The appearance, color, configuration, and certain specifications of the vehicle may differ from the images shown on the website.

The availability of a specific model, vehicle class, and configuration depends on the selected dates, destination, fleet availability, and the rental partner’s terms.

Upon request, the customer may receive additional photos or updated information about the vehicle available for the selected rental dates.

4. Required Documents

To rent a vehicle, the customer must provide documents confirming their identity and right to drive.

For citizens of the Russian Federation, the following documents are usually required:

  • Russian passport;
  • valid driver’s license;
  • additional documents, if required by the rental partner or destination terms.

For foreign citizens, the following documents are usually required:

  • international passport;
  • valid driver’s license;
  • International Driving Permit, if required by law or by the rental partner’s terms.

5. Booking, Confirmation and Cancellation

A car booking can be made through the Time for Trip website, booking form, service manager, or another available communication channel.

After submitting a booking request, the customer may receive booking confirmation, rental terms, order status updates, and details of vehicle pickup and return.

A booking is considered confirmed after vehicle availability has been checked and the rental terms have been agreed. In some cases, a prepayment may be required to confirm the booking.

The customer may cancel a booking by contacting support or using the available tools on the website. Refund terms, deductions, or cancellation fees depend on the tariff, destination, cancellation period, and the terms of the specific rental partner.

If the selected vehicle becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the customer’s control, Time for Trip or the rental partner may offer an alternative vehicle of a similar or higher class, or agree on another solution with the customer.

6. Payment Methods

Payment for a booking or car rental may be made online on the website, through a payment partner, by bank card, by invoice, or by another payment method available for the selected destination and service.

When paying online, the customer may be redirected to a secure payment page of a bank or payment partner. Payment information is transmitted securely using modern encryption protocols.

The following payment system cards may be accepted:

  • MIR;
  • Visa;
  • Mastercard;
  • other payment instruments, if available through the payment partner.

Bank card details are not stored on the Time for Trip website, except where required by law or by the payment partner’s terms.

7. Security Deposit and Additional Services

Some vehicles may require a security deposit, deposit payment, or prepayment. The amount, payment procedure, and refund rules depend on the vehicle, destination, tariff, and rental partner’s terms.

Additional services, such as a child seat, additional driver, vehicle delivery, extended insurance, GPS navigation, or other options, may be charged separately.

Information about available additional services and their cost is provided during the booking process or clarified by a manager.

8. Vehicle Pickup and Return

The pickup location, date, and time are agreed during the booking process. The vehicle may be picked up at a rental office, airport, railway station, hotel, or another available location, if such service is provided.

The customer must return the vehicle at the agreed time, at the agreed location, and in a condition that complies with the rental terms.

Late return, change of return location, vehicle damage, violation of use terms, or return with insufficient fuel may result in additional charges according to the rental partner’s terms.

9. Notifications by SMS, Email and Messengers

By providing a phone number, email address, or messenger contact, the customer confirms that Time for Trip and/or the rental partner may contact them using these details for the purposes of processing and fulfilling the booking.

Time for Trip and/or the rental partner may send service notifications related to the order: booking confirmation, status updates, booking cancellation, pickup and return details, reminders, and other information necessary to provide the service.

Advertising and marketing messages, including promo codes, special offers, and promotions, are sent to the customer only with separate consent.

The customer may unsubscribe from advertising messages using the link or instructions provided in the message, or by contacting support.

10. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Processing Policy published on the Time for Trip website.

Personal data is used to process and fulfill bookings, contact the customer, provide services, handle requests, comply with legal requirements, and improve the service.

Personal data may be transferred to rental partners, payment partners, and other participants in the booking process only to the extent necessary to provide the service and fulfill obligations to the customer.

11. Customer Responsibility

The customer undertakes to provide accurate information when booking, comply with traffic rules, rental terms, vehicle use area restrictions, and the rental partner’s requirements.

The customer is responsible for violations of rental terms, vehicle damage, fines, towing, parking violations, toll roads, and other expenses incurred during the rental period, unless otherwise provided by the specific rental agreement.

12. Changes to the Terms

Time for Trip may update these Terms and Conditions. The current version of the document is published on the website.

The terms of a specific booking are determined at the time of placing the order and may be further specified in the booking confirmation, rental agreement, or messages from the service.
